Bear, moose, caribou and other wildlife are used to the shuttle busses that ferry the many visitors between the Park Headquarters and the Eielson Visitor Center (and farther to Wonder Lake). This male grizzly didn’t even glance at us when our bus stopped on the road and everybody inside rushed to the right-side windows to get a good look. Nobody was allowed outside, though, and when our bus eventually drove on, we picked up several hikers on the road who would have passed this grizzly within a few meters.
